Pretty excited to be releasing this track that I wrote with Owen Steel during a residency at the Banff Centre last March.
Owen and I met at Banff and decided to try our hand at co-writing - a new venture for us both - and this is the result!
The tune was inspired by the majestic view of Sleeping Buffalo Mountain outside the studio window and recorded using Steel's old tape machine. I"m singing, Owen is playing an old Steinway piano and vibraphone, and fellow resident Lisa Crawley sang backing vocals. The track was mixed by Christopher Braun and mastered by Jake Nicoll,
